Click one of your dice, or type an order below.
Clicking is for reconnaissance β battlefield orders go through your Aide. Click a die, then a highlighted square, to draft an order.
Make sure the other general isn't peeking.
Your starting army is 3 dice totaling exactly 12 pips. Remember: a die's face is its speed, and in combat lower faces win β fast dice are fragile, slow dice are deadly.
Pick a quick-start preset, or build your own below:
Next you'll click squares in your first two ranks (secret from your opponent) to position each die.
Lower total wins. Ties go to the attacker. A losing attacker retreats β only defenders die.
Bring any LLM. It powers your Aide β and in vs-AI mode it also plays the enemy general, under the same fog and rules as you. Credentials live only in this page's memory and are sent only to the provider you choose.
A 1v1 fog-of-war strategy game where your units are dice β
and you command like a general: click directly, or give your AI Aide plain-language orders.
1 Β· How you win. Destroy the enemy base π (bombard it from an adjacent square), then walk any die into their fortress π°.
2 Β· Dice are soldiers. A die's face = how far it moves each step. In a fight both sides roll d6 + face and lower total wins β so the β₯ Scout outruns everything but loses fights, and the β Juggernaut crawls but crushes.
3 Β· Fog of war. You only see near your own units. Greyed dashed dice are last-known positions, not live intel. Scout first, commit second.
4 Β· Your Aide runs everything. There are no manual moves β you command in plain language: "scout the left flank, then hold the near well." The Aide reports its plan, draws arrows, and acts only when you confirm. Your first order each turn is free; each additional order costs 1β‘. Clicking a die + a square drafts an order for you.
5 Β· The economy. Mines β pay credits for new dice; wells β‘ pay the energy that powers your Aide. Whoever holds the middle of the board out-commands the other.
Vs AI: the enemy general is played by whatever LLM you connect (or a built-in commander offline).
Hotseat: two humans share this screen; it blanks between turns so nobody peeks.
Win: destroy the enemy Base (π), then walk any die into their unsealed Fortress (π°).
Dice are units. Face = speed in orthogonal steps. In combat both sides roll d6 + face β lower total wins, ties to the attacker. Losing attackers retreat; losing defenders die.
β Juggernaut β +2 damage bombarding bases.
β‘ Warlord β once/turn an adjacent ally gets a free 1-square move.
β’ Sentinel β adjacent allies defend at β1 (better).
β£ Lancer β may advance 1 free square after winning an attack.
β€ Striker β may attack diagonally without moving.
β₯ Scout β sees 3 (others see 2), moves diagonally, passes through allies.
Actions (3 AP/turn): Move (enter an enemy = attack) Β· Modify Β±1 Β· Reroll Β· Deploy (Conscript $4 roll / Commission $7 choose, next to your base) Β· Repair (+2 HP, $2) Β· Bombard an adjacent base (7 β face damage).
Economy: +$3/turn from your base, +$2 per held mine ($). +2β‘/turn, +2β‘ per held well (β‘), cap 10. "Held" = your die is standing on it at your turn start.
Fog: you see 2 squares around each unit (Scout 3, base 2). Greyed dashed dice are ghosts β last known positions, not truth. Moving into an unseen enemy is a collision: you attack them, wherever they actually are. The AI opponent is under identical fog β its decisions are computed from its own vision layer and ghost intel only; after any game, use \"Show what the enemy knew\" to audit it.
The Aide is your only interface: all actions β moves, attacks, deploys, repairs, bombards, modify/reroll β go through orders in plain language. Connect any LLM β Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, or a local model (β Aide) β and it understands anything: "Let's scout with the 5, then dig in around the wells. What did we last see on their left?" It answers questions, remembers your strategic guidance across the battle, and proposes a plan you confirm before anything moves. Offline it falls back to a simpler pattern parser. First order each turn free, then 1β‘ per order β wells expand your command bandwidth. Clicking a die and then a highlighted square drafts an order into the text box. Deployment is the one hands-on action: use the Deploy buttons and click a square beside your base (same costs; the Aide can also deploy on order).
